Concert Review: New Divide at Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall

Wantagh – On Friday, February 7th, New Divide, The Ultimate Linkin Park Tribute Band, brought their Linkin Park experience back to Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall.
Despite one of the front-men being under the weather, New Divide put on another great, high-energy concert. Being a huge Linkin Park fan, I’ve seen them a few times and have never walked away disappointed.
From the opening number, “New Divide,” the audience was hooked and ready to rock. The show consisted of songs spanning Linkin Park’s full catalog, including: “Breaking the Habit,” “Leave Out All the Rest,” “Shadow of the Day,” “Battle Symphony,” “Heavy,” and audience favorites “Numb” and “Crawling.”
A few of the highlights included a great medley of “Bleed it Out” and “A Place for My Head,” an audience song-along to “In the End,” and an emotional performance of “One More Light.” To commemorate the Blinkin Park concert that was cancelled due to Chester’s untimely passing, New Divide performed a great cover of Blink-182’s “Dammit”
Seeing New Divide brought about a lot of mixed emotions for me. Hearing live Linkin Park music truly made me happy and brought back a lot of great memories from when I saw them in concert. Unfortunately, it was also a sad reminder that I will never get to see Chester and Linkin Park perform live again.
